With the chill in the air, the smells of the season around us, what’s better than waking up early to the smell of apples and cinnamon, especially when that apple and cinnamon smell is coming from fresh donuts! Nathan Drendel, ProMedica’s Wellness Dietitian takes a traditional fall treat and makes a few tweaks to improve the nutrition in the donuts, while still keeping it a sweet treat! Drendel also whips up a caramel sauce to top the donuts with, or simply just roll them around in a cinnamon sugar mixture! Enjoy!
