This is a classic Overnight French Toast Bake Recipe or Classic French Toast Casserole recipe. It’s made with simple ingredients and is so easy to make! It’s perfect for the holidays or weekends at home with your family. It can be made 2-48 hours ahead of time so it’s ready whenever you are. This will soon be your family’s new favorite breakfast tradition.

12-15 slices French Bread or 1 loaf french bread
2 cups Milk Whole
12 large Eggs
1/3 cup Maple Syrup
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 pinch Nutmeg
6 T butter at room temperature
1/3 cup Brown Sugar light brown sugar
1/3 cup flour all-purpose
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1️⃣Spray a 9 by 13″ baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
2️⃣In a large mixing bowl, crack the 12 eggs and whisk with a fork.
3️⃣Add the milk, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Whisk again until all the ingredients are combined.
4️⃣Cut the french bread into 3/4″- 1″ chunks and add to the egg mixture.
5️⃣Mix until all the bread chunks are coated.
6️⃣Pour into the greased 9 by 13″ baking dish.
❤️For the Streusel Topping
1️⃣In a medium-size mixing bowl, add the room temperature butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon.
2️⃣Stir or mix with your hands until the mixture has 1/4″ pieces.
3️⃣Sprinkle the butter mixture on the french toast bake and cover with plastic wrap.
4️⃣Let it sit in the fridge overnight.
❤️Baking the Overnight French Toast Bake
When you are ready to bake the french toast casserole, take the baking dish out of the fridge.
1️⃣Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Be sure the baking dish has a chance to come up to room temperature before putting it in the oven.
2️⃣Bake for 45-60 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
3️⃣Serve with whipped cream, berries or your favorite syrup. Enjoy!
